About

Zarak MushtaqSir Zarak — Economics tutor · Cambridge (CAIE)

For more than fifteen years, I have taught Economics to ambitious students across Pakistan and online — helping them move from confusion to confidence in CAIE examinations.

My philosophy is simple: understand the logic behind markets, governments, and global trade first. When concepts are clear, essays, diagrams, and data-response answers become straightforward — and strong grades follow naturally.

I teach with patience and structure. Every topic is broken into steps: definition, diagram, analysis, evaluation, and application to unseen scenarios — exactly what examiners reward.

Background

Teaching Economics is what I do — and what I love.

I am based at Alpha College, 38-C P.E.C.H.S Block 6, Karachi, Pakistan, where I work with students face-to-face and online. Over the years I have built a reputation for explaining difficult ideas — elasticity, market failure, exchange rates, fiscal policy — in plain language that still satisfies the mark scheme.

Thousands of students have passed through my classes, from first-time O Level learners to A2 candidates sitting Paper 3 and Paper 4. Many return for the next stage of the syllabus; others refer friends and siblings. That trust is the result of consistent preparation, honest feedback, and lessons that respect your time.

Whether you are starting Economics for the first time or pushing for an A or A* in your final sitting, my goal is the same: give you a clear mental model of the subject, train your exam technique, and support you until you walk into the hall feeling ready.

How I Teach

Concept-first. Exam-focused.
Always patient.

Core Principles First

We don't memorise topics, we understand the underlying economic behaviour that creates them, ensuring deep, lasting comprehension.

Exam Technique

Understanding is only half the battle. I train students relentlessly on how to structure answers to maximise marks according to the exact examiner rubrics.

Open Dialogue

Questions are encouraged. I maintain a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable admitting what they don't yet understand.

What Students Say

In their words.

Straight from students — what it's actually like studying Economics in class.
